Sivolap and Yarzutkin to lead field when World Tour returns to Cambodia in March

Lausanne, Switzerland, February 15, 2019 – Maxim Sivolap and Artem Yarzutkin will lead the way at the men-only Kg Speu 1-Star in Cambodia with the Russians named as number one seeds.

The Kg Speu 1-Star runs from March 7-10 and is one of two 1-Star tournaments organised by Cambodia during the 2018-19 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, and one of 20 1-Star tournaments throughout the year.

The tournament is taking place in Krong Chbar Mon, which is one hour, 45 minutes west of capital Phnom Penh.

Sivolap and Yarzutkin have both enjoyed success on the World Tour. In 2017 Sivolap won Qinzhou 3-Star gold alongside Igor Velichko, while Yarzutkin bronze at the Kish Island 3-Star and CEV European U22 gold with Oleg Stoyanovskiy.

Singapore’s Kingsley Tay and Fan Yang Mark Shen are seeded second, Japan's Yu Koshikawa and Junki Hatabe are seeded third, while the other Russian team in the main draw, Sergey Gorbenko and Vasilii Ivanov are seeded fourth.

Hosts Cambodia have two teams in the draw. Khlork Sim and Samith Sam are seeded 15th, and Phoun Borey and Sea Kosal are seeded 16th.

Cambodian beach volleyball fans won’t have to wait long for the World Tour to return. The Battambang 1-Star will take place just under a month later from April 4-7.
