Heidrich and Gerson win their first World Tour gold medal in Qinzhou

Qinzhou, China, November 3, 2019 – In their 25th tournament together in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour, Switzerland’s Adrian Heidrich and Mirco Gerson made a follow-up to their bronze medal win in Lucerne, this time two places up at the Qinzhou 3-star.

Heidrich and Gerson kept their unbeaten run in the tournament, concluding it with a 2-0 (21-13, 21-6) victory over Austria’s Martin Ermacora and Moritz Pristauz in the men’s final.

“We played a really good match and we just focused on our side. We served really well and played good defence. That forced them to have many mistakes. Normally we would start with a lot of errors, but fortunately in this match we did not.” Heidrich said.
