Kou and Liu strike gold in Satun

Satun, Thailand, April 9, 2019 – Chinese Taipei’s Kou Nai-Han and Liu Pi Hsin sustained their momentum to win gold in the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Satun 1-star on Thursday.

Kou and Liu rallied from a set down to complete their winning run in Satun with a 2-1 (18-21, 21-18, 15-12) win in the 45-minute gold medal match against Vanuatu’s Miller Pata and Sherysyn Toko.

The Chinese Taipei pair earned their second World Tour gold medal. They last topped the World Tour podium on July 22 in Ulsan, Korea.

The Vanuatu duo, on the other hand, won its first-ever FIVB World Tour medal after appearing in three World Tour women’s final fours. They placed fourth at the Vizag Open in India last March.
