Qidong, China, 7 July 2019 – Christoph Dressler and Alexander Huber beat fellow Austrian Peter Eglseer and Florian Schnetzer in the 2-Star Qidong Open gold medal match on Sunday to win their third FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour medal of the 2018-19 season.
Dressler and Huber beat their compatriots 2-0 (21-18, 21-13) to add another medal to the gold they won at the Siem Reap 2-Star and silver at the Agadir 2-Star.

Even though Eglseer and Schnetzer failed to top the podium, silver was their first World Tour medal since they won silver at the 2017 1-Star Langkawi tournament.
The Qidong Open ran from July 4-7 and was one of nine FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour events in China, with $50,000 on offer to the leading teams.
Thailand’s Surin Jongklang and Adisorn Khaolumtarn won their first World Tour medal when they defeated Russia’s Maxim Sivolap and Artem Yarzutkin 2-0 (24-22, 24-22) in the bronze medal match.
