News 01/03/2019 Top three seeds advance to Vizag Open women’s quarterfinals Visakhapatnam, India, March 1, 2019 – The top three seeded teams in the women’s main draw tournament secured their places in the quarterfinals of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Vizag Open on Friday.Japan’s Chiyo Suzuki and Yurika Sakaguchi, the Czech Republic’s Martina Bonnerova and Martina Maixnerova and Austria’s Nadine and Teresa Strauss recorded two victories each to move to the next round.In Pool A, Phnom Penh 1-star winners Suzuki and Sakaguchi made short work of their opponents Christie Dias and Steffi Fernandez of India 2-0 (21-6, 21-5) in their first match then completed their day’s work with a straight-set (21-17, 21-10) win against Denmark’s Helle Sondergard and Simone Marie Okholm Hansen.Bonnerova and Maixnerova also faced an Indian team in their first match in Pool B.
