Walsh Jennings, Clancy and Artacho Del Solar presented with OLY post-nominal letters at Sydney

 
Sydney, Australia, March 9, 2019 – The World Olympians Association (WOA) on Saturday recognised 11 Olympians, including Kerri Walsh Jennings, Taliqua Clancy and Mariafe Artacho Del Solar with the post-nominal ‘OLY’ at the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Sydney 3-star at Manly Beach.

The presentation highlighted the collaboration between the Australian Olympic Committee and Volleyball Australia.

Also honoured was Australia’s gold medallist in beach volleyball from the Sydney 2000 Olympic Games, Kerri Pottharst.

Fellow Australian Olympians recognised were Julien Prosser, Andrew Schacht, Liane Fenwick and Anita Palm.

Austria’s Alexander Huber, Canada’s Martin Reader and American volleyball representative from the 1996 and 2000 Olympics, John Hyden also received the Olympic honour.

The Australian Olympic Committees’s Olympian Services Manager Daniel Kowalski OAM presented the Olympians with a certificate and an OLY pin.

Australian Olympic Committee Director and Volleyball Australia president Craig Carracher said the 11 Olympians recognised have made an enormous contribution to volleyball.

The presentations take place at sporting events worldwide by Olympians, for Olympians, in recognition of being an Olympian for life.
